Join us as a Customer Taxation Senior Analyst

What you'll do

Reporting to senior management, you’ll drive diligent completion of regulatory reporting assurance activities, escalating risks to the Customer Taxation Management team. You’ll support the Commercial Banking franchise by providing regulatory guidance to improve processes and address issues.

Other key elements of the role are to include:

  • Acting as the escalation point for Customer Taxation business support, reporting into the Customer Taxation Manager as needed in relation to Customer Taxation reporting, assurance and control processes
  • Supporting the Customer Taxation assurance and control framework to identify systemic and non-systemic issues, agreeing mitigating and tracking actions with the Customer Taxation leads, and owning responsibility for the execution of any remediation required
  • Acting as a technical specialist and escalation point for frontline, operations, clients and third parties

The skills you'll need

To be successful in this role, you’ll need extensive knowledge of current operational tax regulations, particularly FATCA, CRS, BBSI, and a general understanding of other operational taxes such as ISA.

You’ll also demonstrate:

  • Sound knowledge of Customer Taxation regulatory reporting submissions requirements and processes
  • Risk appetite and risk management experience
  • The ability to prepare briefing papers and reports
  • The ability to analyse and evaluate multiple sources of information effectively and draw risk-based conclusions
