Our people work differently depending on their jobs and needs. From hybrid working to flexible hours, we have plenty of options that help our people to thrive.

This role is based in the United Kingdom and as such all normal working days must be carried out in the United Kingdom.

Join us as a Funds Financing Associate

  • You’ll support our Funds Financing business as part of the Asset Backed Leverage Facilities (ABLF) team, originating, structuring, executing, and managing asset backed funds financing transactions with NatWest Market’s key sponsor customers
  • The work you do will ultimately strengthen the team’s pursuit of responsibilities as a first line of defence, managing internal transaction approvals and coordinating and providing seamless execution from start to finish

What you'll do

We’ll look to you to support senior members of the team in the origination of new transaction, including putting together marketing materials and initial term sheets. You’ll be responsible for key transaction work streams such as internal approvals, coordinating customer KYC and onboarding with coverage teams, model returns, and resource utilisation scenarios. You’ll also perform general and asset specific risk analysis.

Working with the Portfolio Management team, you’ll manage our post-execution work streams and help develop our risk management and monitoring capabilities across ABLF and the broader Funds Financing platform. You’ll also develop a deep understanding of the ABLF product and key business principles and strategies that apply to the Funds Financing and overall Private Financing business. As such, you’ll represent the team’s best-in-class products and customer service approach internally and externally.

In addition to this, you’ll:

  • Support senior structurers in developing and maintaining client relationships, income streams, or new business opportunities
  • Take all reasonable steps to ensure structuring activities are in line with our policies covering conduct, operational, credit, and regulatory risks
  • Develop marketing ideas and materials in support of structuring activities

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone highly analytical with a numerical mindset and the drive to develop autonomous ways of working with the rest of the team.

We’re also looking for:

  • Structuring, trading, and portfolio management experience
  • A solutions-driven attitude with a willingness to interact with key customers on complex problems
  • Strong stakeholder management skills

If you need any adjustments to support your application, such as information in alternative formats or special requirements to access our buildings, or if you’re eligible under the Disability Confident Scheme please contact us and we’ll do everything we can to help.
