What you'll do
As a Client Portfolio Manager, you’ll be representing the business's investment house view to a book of core investment clients, as well as prospective investment clients. You’ll hold responsibility for all aspects of on-going client servicing for criteria clients, in line with our client right adviser principles.
Your responsibilities will also include:
- Presenting the business's investment house view and strategy at internal client events
- Safely and effectively delivering client investment proposals, fully incorporating any client imposed investment restrictions in line with relevant policies
- Maintaining and developing knowledge of relevant investment management techniques, disciplines, and skillsets to provide the appropriate service to both internal and external clients
- Supporting the wider team with the delivery of any tactical business initiatives to improve client outcomes of expediting the delivery of assigned business objectives
- Escalating any risk issues in line with procedures
The skills you'll need
To succeed in this role, you’ll need knowledge of discretionary portfolio management techniques, paired with experience of engaging with private clients at various levels of investment sophistication. You’ll also need to hold a Retail Distribution Review (RDR) compliant Level 4 qualification.
In addition, you’ll demonstrate:
- Knowledge of relevant financial markets and instruments
- Good collaboration skills
