Join us as a Batch Engineer, Avaloq

  • You'll work with various stakeholders and share the technical expertise within an agile, collaborative organization.

  • You'll join our bank as it's transforming its architecture, pushing forward with innovative solutions in various technologies.

  • You'll be joining Release Management Core team, providing release, environment and batch engineering services for the Avaloq platform.

What you'll do

As a Batch Engineer you'll look after all processes and tasks related to Avaloq jobnet managed in Automic (UC4) such as building, maintaining and decommissioning jobs and workflows in the network as required. Additionally, you'll contribute towards improvements in our set up and bring innovation to current processes.

You’ll also:

  • Build, implement and maintain the job requests and jobnet in Avaloq and Automic (new, modifications, deleting, in-depth optimization of the network)

  • Monitor and support of EOP (EOY, EOM, EOY)

  • Set up and maintain jobnet across test environments

  • Document jobs and end of period activities

  • Support projects and development, coordinate activities with stakeholders

  • Regularly maintain and coordinate performance improvements with different departments

  • Provide ad-hoc production support and investigations

  • Be point of contact for batch engineering related questions

The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role, you'll need technical or business-related experience in the Avaloq world and good understanding of the Avaloq Core Platform with emphasis on jobnet set up. On top of this, you’ll have a degree in computer science or engineering, or related professional training.

Additionally, you’ll need:

  • Working knowledge of development lifecycle

  • JIRA knowledge

  • PL SQL skills

  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written, German being an asset

  • Avaloq or Automic certification
