What you'll do
Day-to-day, you'll deliver risk management initiatives that support the effective application of the operational risk framework, conduct risk obligations and improve the understanding and effective management of risk across our bank.
We’ll look to you to provide testing across India and the UK and support our business in managing the risks which exist, making sure mechanisms are in place to identify, report, manage and mitigate risk within a defined risk appetite, while working in conjunction with the second line of defence.
Your top priorities will include:
- Developing the interrogation and analysis of relevant management information and supporting effective risk management on behalf of your stakeholders
- Controlling resources that contribute to the development of guidance notes and training materials and content
- Helping management to facilitate regular stakeholder meetings and key forums by issuing supporting paperwork and assessing regulatory impacts
- Building trusted working partnerships across our bank and franchises to inform and gather intelligence on emerging and future risks and controls
The skills you'll need
To be successful in this role, you’ll have at least eight years' experience, knowledge of how a large financial services organisation operates and experience of working in a first or second line of defence risk role.
Furthermore you’ll bring:
- A clear track record of achievement and delivery
- Knowledge of risk assessment and scenario analysis methodologies
- An understanding of operational risk management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels
- Risk and controls assessment and testing experience
