Why NatWest Markets Stockholm Branch
This graduate programme, with start in August 2025, spans over 24 months where you as a graduate in the Stockholm team will have the opportunity to kick-start your career in banking by equipping you with the knowledge, skills and experience you will need to grow within both the NatWest organisation and in the banking sector.
NatWest Markets is the investment banking arm of NatWest, offering debt financing, risk management and trading to our customers in Europe, Asia, and the US. NatWest is the largest business and commercial bank in the UK, providing a wide range of products and services to over 19m customers across our retail, commercial & institutional and private banking business. The commercial & institutional business area supports customers with products including working capital and trade finance, asset finance, capital markets and specialist finance.
What you will do
As a graduate at the Stockholm office and during the programme you will play an important role by supporting three local teams: Corporate Coverage, Debt Capital Markets and Risk Management. You will be spending time with all teams where you will work with various stakeholder in the bank and have the opportunity to develop your skills in an exciting environment. You can expect to learn a lot across several areas when working with the different teams:
Corporate Coverage:
- Supporting the coverage team with managing client relationships and origination for our Nordic large corporate clients.
- Preparing client materials and conduct company and industrial sector research, peer analyses, and business origination activities.
- Understanding and monitoring credit risk development for our key clients and supporting internal capital and credit approval processes
- Working on customer due diligence and KYC for new and existing clients, and other ad-hoc requests.Working closely with product colleagues and specialist functions across the bank to ensure highest quality of service delivered.
- Promote and represent the bank in the local and regional community.
Debt Capital Markets:
- Supporting with the pitching and execution of bond transactions across international markets.
- Preparing market update materials and assist the team in keeping clients up to date on bond market developments.
- Performing in-depth analysis of capital markets, financial performance, and other relevant topics to support client decision making.
- Creating and updating models for bond pricing, financial forecasting, and capital optimisation.
- Conducting sector and market research.
Risk Management:
- Supporting the team preparing and executing interest rates derivative transactions for Nordic and European clients
- Collaborate with various trading desk within the bank.
- Conduct analysis of financial policies to manage interest rate risk using a range of derivative. instruments
- Providing market and macro insights and updates.
- Support clients with liquidity management and collaborate closely with our FX colleagues based in Paris and Frankfurt.
