Job description

Join us as a Supply Chain Operations Manager

  • This role will see you supporting, developing, and delivering supply chain solutions to improve the customer experience and align with our cost and risk appetite expectations
  • Supporting the sourcing teams, you’ll liaise with suppliers regarding the onboarding process in the sourcing platform and get NDAs signed ahead of sourcing activity
  • Utilising your supply chain knowledge and experience, you’ll help us plan and prioritise all available resource to ensure the efficient delivery of solutions in line with our objectives
  • We're offering this role at associate level

What you'll do

As a Supply Chain Operations Manager, you’ll validate the contracts master to see the expiry status of contracts and proactively engage with the Sourcing teams to initiate the relevant actions. You’ll lead and manage the e-auctions where applicable and submit the outcome with the Sourcing teams.

In addition to this, you’ll:

  • Support the sourcing teams to build the RFx
  • Ensure we have the right data quality with all system inputs and reports
  • Review the purchasing transactions that were not approved by Supply Chain and take necessary actions to remediate
  • Follow up with relevant stakeholders to ensure the key actions are taken on time and closed appropriately

The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role, you’ll need at least eight years’ supply chain experience, knowledge of supply chain markets across a variety of third-party suppliers, and a demonstrable track record of successfully implementing projects and continuous improvement. You’ll be educated to a degree level or equivalent, and ideally hold or be working towards a relevant professional qualification, such as CIPS. Along with a proven track record in taking ownership for resolving issues within supply chain services, you’ll have experience in cost, financial management, and Agile ways of working.

We’re also looking for:

  • Knowledge of Ariba, Jagger, Cupa, SAP, and Oracle
  • Experience of applying supply chain skills and techniques to effectively manage the operational tasks in sourcing such as supplier registration, data management, supplier liaison, query management, and sourcing assistance
  • Experience of contributing to strategic and business critical supplier relationships and contracts to deliver sustainable improvements
  • Experience reviewing supplier spend data and analysis
  • Experience of supporting colleagues and stakeholders in your team and wider category and business
