Purpose of Role:

The primary responsibility of the Analyst will be to assist senior-level bankers in originating HY bond and loan transactions and prepare marketing materials and supporting documentation for such transactions.  In that role, the Analyst will work as an important member of the team in order to bring together the expertise of professionals in Origination, Syndicate, Interest Rate Derivatives, Structuring, Strategy, Corporate Advisory and FX for each client

The position will be based in Stamford, CT

What does this role holder do?

Support domestic and yankee loan and high yield capital markets origination and syndication activities working with global product partners including, but not limited to: European syndicate, European leveraged finance, liability management, corporate advisory, corporate banking

Prepare client presentations for pitching ideas and transactions across the product spectrum to a range of corporate and financial clients

Summarise market conditions, recent transactions and economic headlines in order to produce relevant market updates for our clients

Build strong network to share materials and ideas with colleagues in London, Europe and Asia

Research and analyze industries, companies and comparable transactions in preparation for and in support of origination of potential transactions

Use the full Microsoft Office suite, internal systems and Bloomberg to evaluate and price debt and interest rate derivative products

Assist with preparing internal underwriting documents and become proficient running transaction processes

What are the skills, knowledge and experience needed to do the role?

  The successful candidate will have a keen interest in corporate finance and debt capital markets.


 Skills Required

Proactive approach to work with good organizational capabilities and high attention to detail

Desire and ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment within the structure of a large global bank

Strong presentation and interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team

University BA or BS degree in Finance, Economics or a related field

SIE, Series 79, Series 7 and Series 63 licenses (to be obtained upon joining NatWest Markets)
