This role is based in the United States and as such all normal working days must be carried out in the United States.

Purpose of Role:

Part of the US Capital Markets team responsible for developing relationships with and advising US Corporates across financing,  interest rates derivatives, structured solutions, and other rates and FX products related to ESG.

The position will be based in Stamford, CT

What does this role holder do?

Work alongside origination and product teams to ensure ESG and Sustainable Finance products are effectively marketed, structured and executed for our US Corporate clients

Support the development and marketing of New ESG products and solutions relevant to our US Corporate clients

Bring a strong understanding of ESG and Sustainable Finance products as well as knowledge of the Macro environment and ESG Regulatory landscape to the bank

Implement the ESG business strategy for our US Corporate clients, while supporting colleagues to provide a market leading service in this area

Create thought leadership and support our advisory approach in ESG and Sustainable Finance through deep understanding of the sustainability strategies of our US corporate clients and driving a strategic dialogue with them on this topic

Support the internal and external education concerning Sustainable Finance, as well as regular publication of content and thought pieces for both audiences

Provide oversight to sustainability data structuring and analysis projects, both for purposes of management reporting and client materials

Work together with bank-wide teams and other NWG franchises to multiply the reach and scope of ESG and Sustainable Finance

Be an integral part of a collaborative team, where you liaise with different areas of the business and bank-wide to broaden your network and raise your profile

What are the skills, knowledge and experience needed to do the role?

 The successful candidate will have experience in debt capital markets origination at an investment bank, have worked in the ESG/Sustainable Finance space at an investment bank/asset manager, or have worked at an ESG rating agency, with a focus on US corporates.


 Skills Required

Demonstrable knowledge of (and passion for) the sustainable finance asset class and its key stakeholders through 4+ years of relevant professional experience

Strong communication and presentation skills

Good commercial awareness and acumen – able to spot monetizable products and solutions

Candidates should be entrepreneurial and be able to take on broad responsibilities within a small and growing platform

Enjoy working in a collaborative and high energy team environment

University BA or BS degree

Series 79 and Series 63 licenses
