Join us as a HR Business Acquisition & Disposal Support Consultant

  • You’ll support our HR deal teams as they manage the people aspects of corporate mergers & acquisitions transactions efficiently and in line with our People & Transformation governance and stances
  • We’ll look to you to provide specialist technical advice on the people aspects of corporate transactions
  • This is an opportunity to build your network as you work closely with stakeholders across our People & Transformation function and across our wider bank functions

What you'll do

You’ll make sure our Business Acquisition and Disposal Support (BADS) methodologies and tools are used to effectively manage and resolve identified risks issues and dependencies, and you’ll maintain a 'fit for purpose' toolkit and knowledge bank. You'll provide coaching, guidance and training to build deal capability in the HR community.

You’ll collaborate with other functions such as Corporate Development, Legal, Supply Chain Services and external legal advisers. You’ll also coach and guide HR Project Managers, sponsors, and our HR deal team members. As such, you’ll ensure that:

  • The HR deal team has a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities and is organised so that the project is planned and delivered effectively
  • The HR strategy for each stage of the deal is clearly understood
  • The HR deal team plans and delivers all the relevant activities throughout the lifecycle of the deal
  • We review and input into the development of deal documents from a BADS perspective

The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role, we'd look for some experience managing the HR parts of deals such as acquisition/integration, divestment, JVs, insourcing or outsourcing activity. Some working knowledge of the relevant employment law e.g. TUPE would be beneficial.

As well as this, you’ll demonstrate:

  • A broad working knowledge of HR and experience of complex projects with challenging and inflexible timescales
  • Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, representing HR and working together with other functions to deliver project objectives
  • Proven relationship and stakeholder management skills
