Assessments

Our assessments

For some of our roles you’ll be taken straight to an online assessment or technical test. However, you don’t have to complete the assessment straight away if it’s not convenient, you’ll be able to access it afterwards by going back into your Workday home account you created on application.

These roles could include branch or telephony customer service/support roles, and technical, digital and data roles.

Technical, digital or data roles

For selected technical, digital or data roles, we’ll look for you to complete an online test to assess your technical knowledge and skills required for the role. Once you’ve completed the test, we’ll let you know if your application is being progressed to the next stage.

Customer service/support roles

For our customer service/support roles, you’ll see more information once you launch the assessment, and you’ll get guidance and support along the way. Below is an example of what you can expect (assessments may vary depending on the job).

The assessments

  1. Work Scenarios assessment

Your first assessment will include ‘Work Scenarios’ which should take around 20-25 minutes. You’ll be given real life work situations to see if you share our values. What’s great about completing this assessment, regardless of the outcome, is that you’ll be sent a personalised feedback report to help with your development.

  2. Reasoning Skills assessment

Score well and we’ll take you through to complete either our ‘Reasoning Skills’ (cognitive ability) or ‘Working with Information’ assessment. These will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.

  3. Video Recording

Once you’ve successfully completed these initial assessments (where applicable), it’s your opportunity to tell us more about you through a recorded video. It’s not a live interview over Zoom or Skype; you’ll record timed answers to pre-recorded questions. There’s a mix of motivational, competency, and scenario-based questions, and it should take around 20 minutes to complete. We’ll provide you with further guidance and tips before you start.

Once your recording has been reviewed, we’ll let you know how you did and if successful we’ll invite you for interview.

The interview

Once you’ve passed any assessments at the last stage, we’ll look at your experience and your skills to see how well they match to the job. If we agree that you’re a good fit, we’ll invite you to an interview.
