View open rolesWe’re always looking for fresh-thinking, career-focused and passionate people to join us at our offices in Brindley Place. As a bank we’re changing and moving forward, and our Birmingham hub is at the heart of that journey. We’re ramping up our activity in the city and growing our teams in specialisms like stress testing and credit risk, so joining us could mean the chance to provide credit facilities to customers across the Midlands and South, or to create models which give us important commercial insight.
Birmingham is a great location to develop your career over the long-term. Join our diverse team and we’ll help you to build your career through training, development, and mentoring from more experienced colleagues.
We also have an Entrepreneur Accelerator here too – a free, collaborative office space and development programme for start-up and scale-up businesses.
Life in Birmingham
Birmingham has long been the UK’s second city, but with banks and other financial services organisations moving operations here, it’s now also a major British financial centre.
Life in Birmingham
Birmingham has long been the UK’s second city, but with banks and other financial services organisations moving operations here, it’s now also a major British financial centre.
There’s more to the city than banks and business, though. Birmingham is a mosaic of urban and green spaces – there are more acres of parks and open space here than any other city in the UK. There’s plenty to do out of office hours too. Birmingham is the most culturally mixed city in the UK, and this is reflected in the arts. It celebrates its artistic culture with annual festivals of jazz, comedy, poetry, film, literature and television, so there’s always something to do.
Birmingham also has more Michelin-starred restaurants than any other UK city outside of London, so if you’re a foodie, you’re in for a treat! The Bullring shopping centre is only a ten minute walk away from the office, so you don’t need to venture far for a lunch time stroll around the shops.
Getting around
Brindley Place is easy to get to, no matter where you’re based in the city. You can get here by car, on foot, by bike, by train, by bus – and even by boat!
If you’re commuting into Birmingham, it’s easy to get into and out of the city. There are three main rail stations nearby that offer services to places like Leicester, Nottingham and Derby, plus there are regular direct trains to London, Manchester, Liverpool and Edinburgh.
Brindley Place has been awarded Top Cycle Location status by Birmingham City Council, so you can take the greener option and walk or cycle here after your bus or train journey. The area is partially pedestrianised, and there are cycle bays to lock up your bike safely too.
If you’re travelling by car, the office has an onsite car park.
