Birmingham has long been the UK's second city, but with banks and other
financial services organisations moving operations here, it's now also a
major British financial centre.
There's more to the city than banks and business, though. Birmingham is
a mosaic of urban and green spaces – there are more acres of parks and
open space here than any other city in the UK. There's plenty to do out
of office hours too. Birmingham is the most culturally mixed city in the
UK, and this is reflected in the arts. It celebrates its artistic
culture with annual festivals of jazz, comedy, poetry, film, literature
and television, so there's always something to do.
Birmingham also has more Michelin-starred restaurants than any other UK
city outside of London, so if you're a foodie, you're in for a treat!
The Bullring shopping centre is only a ten minute walk away from the
office, so you don't need to venture far for a lunch time stroll around
