Please, check the website closing dates, most programmes close on the 30th December 2020 however we may close programmes early if we have a large amount of applications, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.

No. If you apply for more than one programme, we’ll only accept your first application and won’t take any of the others forward. Please don’t make more than one application as it might slow your application down.

Please take some time to choose the programme that is right for you and only make one application. If you do make more than one application, we'll only accept your first.

No, you can only apply to one location.

Most programmes have specific locations, and you’ll be based there for the duration of your programme – you should always consider this when choosing which programme to apply to.
However, some programmes are UK wide to provide you with the most opportunities, so it’s best to be flexible about where you’ll be based and make sure you read the programme descriptions thoroughly.

Once you have started your application, you will also be able to provide details of your special requirements or disability so that we can support you.

Please select the closest match to your degree in the Field of Study field. If you start typing your subject into the field a list of options will be displayed. If you are studying a combined subject e.g. Politics and Economics please enter one of the subjects from the list. If you cannot find an exact match please select the closest, you don’t have to have studied a particular degree for any of our programmes so it will not affect your application if this is not exact.

Please enter your predicted grade. Most penultimate year students will have a predicted grade, if you don’t have this please ensure you are on track to achieve a 2:1 (2:2 for our RBS International programme).

You’re invited to each stage after you successfully complete the earlier step. You can complete all stages within 3-4 hours.
Assessment

These are “timed” tests. You will need to complete these within 10 days of starting your application. We’d encourage you to complete as quickly as you can as we may close programmes early if we have a large amount of applications.

You’ll hear the outcome of your assessment centre within 14 days. If you’re successful, a member of the Early Career team will contact you to take you through your offer onto the graduate or internship programme.

No, we’d expect you to continue with your qualification and we’d support you through this.

No, unfortunately we no longer accept deferred applications.

If you don't have the right to work in the UK, we may be able to sponsor you and we'll look at this when we assess your application.

You don’t need specific UCAS points for any of our programmes.
Apart from our RBS International programme, which requires a 2:2 degree or above, all our other graduate and internship programmes require you to have achieved, or be on track to achieve, a 2:1 or above.

No, you don’t need to have any experience or give us a CV unless you are applying to one of our NatWest Markets programmes. We’re looking for your knowledge about us and your passion for the programme.
For our NatWest Markets programmes you will be asked to upload a CV and cover letter as one document, and this will be taken into consideration for invites to Assessment Centres.

If you have extenuating circumstances explaining why you didn’t meet the academic requirements, you’ll still be considered. You’ll have the opportunity to state this on your application form. We’ll review each case individually and you’ll need to show us proof of any extenuating circumstances.

No, we’ll give you all the training you’ll need – we’re looking for your passion in working in technology.

No, any candidate from any degree subject can apply – all they need is to be on track for at least a 2:1 (2.2 for our RBS International programme).

Yes. Our graduate programmes are open to all regardless of graduation year.

Yes, if you meet the programme eligibility criteria.

Yes - however you’ll still need to meet our entry requirements. Our RBS International programme requires a 2:2 degree classification or above, and all other graduate and internships programmes require you to have, or be on track to achieve a 2:1 or above.

We review on a case by case basis and would take into consideration any exceptional circumstances. If you don’t meet the requirements, we can revoke your offer.

No – you won’t be able to join the programme unless it’s for our RBS International programme, where you need at least a 2.2.

We’ll map you into placements based on your development needs – we want you to be well rounded at the end of your programme so we’ll map you into roles that’ll build your professional development.

Qualifications differ by programme. They are all fully funded professional qualifications.

We’re committed to working with you to find a role at the end of your programme.

You’ll complete the graduate programme in the same locations as your internship.

There’s an expectation that you’ll complete your programme in the location that you‘re based in for the duration of the programme.

No, you’d need to make your own plans if you need to move but our graduate buddies can help share where to look etc.
Interns

No, unfortunately we no longer accept deferred applications.

You need to be in your penultimate year of study to be eligible for our internships (that includes finalists who’re going on to do a Master’s next year or students in the first year of a two year Masters).

No, you can only apply for one internship.

Yes, you can apply for an internship.

No, our internship programmes are only open to penultimate year students.

Yes. If you’re in the first year of a three-year degree, you can apply to one of our Insight weeks.

Year-long placements aren’t a formal programme for us just yet but take a look at our 8 week summer internships.

As an intern you’re assessed throughout the 8-week programme, and if you’re showing a strong performance, we may offer you a position on the two- or three-year graduate programme for the following year.

You’ll complete the graduate programme in the same locations as your internship.

No. The internship’s paid, so this’ll allow you to cover the cost of your accommodation.
Insight Weeks

Yes. If you’re in the first year of a three-year degree, you can apply to one of our Insight weeks.

Female Insight Weeks are available to both male and female applicants. If you graduate and finish all your studies in 2023 then you can apply for this programme. You don’t need any UCAS points and you don’t need to be studying any particular subject.

The main difference is that, over our Female Insight week you’ll be shadowing and meeting with key females in that business area and, for our Insight Week, you’ll be meeting with both male and female colleagues.
