What happens next?

  1. We’ll be in touch to start your Pre-employment screening (PES) background checks

Pre-employment screening (PES) is a process the bank uses to make sure that new hires are the right fit for the job. It involves checking your background, such as verifying your education and previous jobs, and making sure you don’t have a criminal record. It’s an important step to ensure that all colleagues are trustworthy and reliable, helping to maintain a safe and secure workplace. By going through this process, the bank ensures that everyone joining the team is well-qualified and can be trusted with important responsibilities.

You’ll receive an introductory email from your case handler ahead of starting with us and they’ll explain the process to you in more detail.

  2. You’ll be invited to join our Onboarding Portal

A few months ahead of your induction, you’ll be invited to join our Onboarding Portal, full of important information to get you ready for your first day. You’ll find the names of people you’re going to meet, things you need to do, and some reading to get to know us better. You’ll also have access to events run by our Graduate Engagement Council and a social wall which will give you the opportunity to speak to those joining at the same time as you.

We’ll let you know, via the checklists on the portal, any actions you need to complete that help us on-board you into the bank.

  3. You’ll be invited to engagement events to help you prepare for your programme

You’ll have the chance to mingle with people who’ll be an important part of your journey.

  4. Your Graduate Manager and Graduate buddy will introduce themselves

Your Graduate Manager will be in touch to tell you a bit about the area they work in. This will give you a bit of insight into the business area that you’ll soon be a part of. You’ll also hear from your Graduate Buddy, and will have the first of many opportunities to ask any questions and make sure you’re clear about everything you need to know.

  5. You’ll join us at your induction.

And here, your journey will begin!
