Aerial view of Edinburgh city

Edinburgh is home to the world class facilities at our innovative Gogarburn site, set within mature landscaped surroundings. The city is one of the most beautiful in the world. Boasting two world heritage sites in its medieval Old Town and Georgian New Town, there is so much to explore here. Within just a few miles of the city itself you’ll be greeted by the Pentland Hills and the shoreline of Leith – offering you the unique mix of city, sea and countryside.

The city holds many attractions, including Princes Street, Edinburgh Castle, the Botanical Gardens, Arthur’s Seat, the Royal Mile, Calton Hill, The Meadows, and more. The city also boasts two huge annual attractions in the Edinburgh Festival and Fringe and Hogmanay, attracting visitors from all over the world.

Whether it’s the arts, sports, the outdoors, dining out, shopping, history or sight-seeing, there really is something for everyone here.

Life in Edinburgh

We have a number of offices based in and around Edinburgh city centre, including St Andrew’s Square, our registered head office.

Our headquarters are based just outside the city on our Gogarburn campus, where many of our central and support functions are based.

Home to our Gogarburn campus

Gogarburn is set within mature landscaped grounds. The campus comprises office space, a 300 seat conference centre and a business school. There’s an excellent range of retail and leisure facilities on site, including a book shop, hair salon, and a small supermarket on the covered ‘street’ in the heart of the main building. There are also street stalls who visit the site on a rotating basis once a week. Whatever you need to do or buy, you’ll be able to here.

You’ll also find an onsite Fitness & Wellbeing Centre which features a gym, swimming pool, 5-aside football pitches, a doctor and a physiotherapist – all of your needs are truly taken care of.

The facilities at Gogarburn are world class. The centre boasts a digital studio where customer web journeys are mapped. There’s also an Entrepreneur Accelerator hub, which is home to a range of up and coming entrepreneurs. Along with being a centre for technology innovation, it provides local communities and charity partners with access to facilities that can support their growth.

I work in Gogarburn. With hand on heart I love this place. Work is great; everyone is friendly and very helpful. There is always so much happening on the street that you sometimes struggle to keep up and you’re always in the middle of things, from learning about new and upcoming technology to bumping into top executives who you can approach and engage in a conversation. So you’ll never have a dull day here.

Getting around

A frequent shuttle service links the Gogarburn site to other local NatWest Group offices, to a local shopping centre, and also to railway stations, making it easily accessible for everyone. We also have an onsite parking system and nearby Park & Ride with a free bus service to take you to the campus. And the city itself is a manageable size, so you can reach any location with ease.

Edinburgh has rail and airport links to numerous national and international destinations, while a recently renovated tram network and frequent bus services link all areas of the city together.

And cycling and walking are two popular means to get around this beautiful city too, and are actively encouraged to both help the environment and keep people fit – even on the daily commute to work.
