Rushmi: My name is Rushmi Lampshire and I work in retail finance. I’m a strategic finance partner facing off to the retail business.
Harish: I manage the external reporting team called Financial Statements and Disclosure Reporting.
Bryan: I’m a strategic finance adviser for the financial crime portfolio.
Nadine: I am the finance director for services and functions within NatWest bank.
Harish: I always aspire to work outside India and NatWest supported me on that journey, provided opportunity to rotate within finance, explore myself and also gave me recognition for the work I did.
Rushmi: Three things that resonate for me are the people. I absolutely love working with the people here, the variety of work, so the sheer depth and breadth that I have in my role, and then probably thirdly, the flexibility.
Bryan: One thing really stands out and that’s coaching my direct reports, I’ve become a manager this year and it’s really rewarding seeing people and capabilities grow.
Nadine: So I think it’s a really exciting time to be in banking and financial services. I love the fact that finance plays such a pivotal role in shaping the future of NatWest.
Harish: It gives you so much comfort that you are at the right place to develop and grow, which I have experienced ever since I joined in 2012.
Rushmi: I won’t lie. We do go through peaks and troughs, and we have some times which are busier than other times and can be a wee bit more stressful. However, working for an organisation like NatWest, we have tremendous flexibility. There’s no requirement to be in the office five days a week or even work 9 to 5. I’m trusted to manage my own workload and work around any family commitments that I might have.
Bryan: To be honest, I haven’t got it all figured out just yet. I know that whatever I decide, whether it be progression, roll rotation or even a career break, NatWest are here to support me.
Nadine: I think it’s a great opportunity to come and work for NatWest in the finance function. I would really encourage people to apply if you’re interested and come and speak to us.
