The UK’s capital city is a true metropolis with almost every industry imaginable, and a global leader in the finance and banking arena.

Its enormous and diverse population of over eight and a half million people spans plenty of subcultures, and benefits from an evolving and eclectic mix of nightclubs, restaurants, theatres, galleries, museums and shops.

The city is home to some of the country’s most famous and popular tourist attractions, including Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, West End theatre, St. Paul’s Cathedral and Big Ben.

As exciting as it is diverse, London’s bustling and electric atmosphere caters for people from all walks of life.

Life in London

Our London headquarters in Bishopsgate is located just a few minutes’ walk from Liverpool Street Station. The central location makes working there incredibly convenient.

Everything you need is close by, so you can run errands, go to the gym, and socialise with friends and colleagues before and after work.

In the heart of everything

The many restaurants and coffee shops scattered around Bishopsgate along with the nearby Spitalfields markets means there is a great selection of food options to treat yourself to on your lunchbreak.

Old Street, Shoreditch, Spitalfields Market and Brick Lane are all within walking distance, and several other London hotspots are just a few tube stops away.

Our Coutts head office is on the Strand in a beautiful and fascinating building full of history, and a great place to meet and work with customers. The South Bank, Soho and Convent Garden are nearby, as are the Embankment Gardens and St James’ Park.

The city has a great buzz about it. Its distinct areas and styles and the way it keeps changing, means there’s always something new to discover. I’ve lived here for four years and still haven’t seen it all! Our offices are perfect for commuting and socialising. It’s a busy area, but there’s somehow a relaxed feel to it too.
