Relationship Management is a rich and varied career where no two days are ever the same. You’ll get to work with people from all walks of life and help them manage their finances.

Every day you’ll be doing whatever you can to help businesses large and small improve their financial health, build better relationships with our customers to help them bank better and protect them from risk. You’ll be their go-to person for anything banking related.

Who are you?

Delphine: My name is Delphine, I’m an assistant relationship manager apprentice and I’m located in Aberdeen.

What made you choose this apprenticeship?

Delphine: Working towards a qualification and on the job experience.

Describe your apprenticeship journey in three words?

Delphine: Rewarding, exciting and engaging.

What’s the best thing about this apprenticeship?

Delphine: Building relationships.

Where are you now on your apprenticeship journey?

Delphine: I am five months in and will be taking my exam in May.

How are you rewarded?

Delphine: Consistent feedback and opportunities.

Why did you choose an apprenticeship over further education or alternative options?

Delphine: Good balance between studying and working.

Is being paid to work and learn during your apprenticeship important to you?

Delphine: Yeah, It makes you very valued in the organisation.

What do you think about having a job waiting for you once you’ve completed your apprenticeship?

Delphine: It’s very rewarding to be working towards a qualification and a job.

Teamwork is everything at NatWest Group, how would you describe your team?

Delphine: Very supportive.

Who we’re looking for

Unless you’re looking to do a Degree Level Apprenticeship you don’t need any formal qualifications to apply for one of our apprenticeships, so who are we looking for?

Are you proactive and curious? Do you like problems and finding solutions to them? Most of all, do you enjoy helping others? If the answer to either of these is “yes”, then you belong in Relationship Management. Helping our customers manage their finances with us effectively is fundamental to everything we do. If you like people and problem solving this apprenticeship really is for you.
