Question: What are our Technology, digital and data jobs really like?
Lucy: The main thing that excites me about my work is the people I work with actually. I’m working with lots of people who are really knowledgeable, really skillful at what they do. So it’s really nice when I’m working on my projects that I’m working with those people and I’m learning from them all the time
Ade: NatWest culture is extremely inclusive I would say from my previous experiences. We have a hybrid working model. It really works for everyone.
Abbie: I am given the time and space to learn about things that I’m interested in and I’m really well supported by my manager and the colleagues in my network in terms of my career and both within the organisation.
Jharna: The work here is challenging and there are always new tasks coming up and NatWest does not hold back in adopting new technologies or new ideas.
Lucy: We try to work hard when we’re working but it’s not like it’s long hours and things like that. So I really appreciate that there’s like a good balance of what we do with that time here.
Abbie: I was initially surprised at the amount of time and encouragement that you get to get involved with things that you’re passionate about outside of your day-to-day work. For example, I am a huge advocate for encouraging women into technology especially young girls. And as such, I volunteer with a charity TechSheCan visiting local schools and I have had nothing but support and encouragement and time and to allow me to pursue my passion for this.
Jharna: Personally, they are very important for me that my voice is being heard. And that’s what NatWest has always given me – a platform for me to express my opinions, my ideas and have brilliant brainstorming sessions with my colleagues.
Ade: everything from you know the interview process that we do, to the meetings we have, to some of the packs that we create – you see this ongoing trend of talking about the customer families business and families and helping them Thrive so our NatWest is extremely extremely customer focused, I would say.
